Joseph Kony is the world’s worst war criminal. In 1987 he took over leadership of an existing rebel group and renamed it the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). The LRA is encouraged to rape, mutilate, and kill civilians–often with blunt weapons.
The LRA has earned a reputation for its cruel and brutal tactics. When Joseph Kony found himself running out of fighters, he started abducting children to be soldiers in his army or “wives” for his officers.
In its 26-year history, the LRA has abducted more than 30,000 children and displaced at least 2.1 million people.
Joseph Kony has to be arrested before he destroys an entire country and its children.
This isn’t about politics, it’s about HUMANITY!

Some people are just born with style and grace. It’s just a DNA thing that can’t be learned. My mother is one of those fortunate souls. One of the many aspects of her that I admire, is her iconic fashion sense.
When I think about her amazing life thus far, and all she has accomplished it boggles my mind. It is my goal to aspire to be as thoughtful, kind, generous, creative, loving, wise, and Holy Ghost- filled as her one day.
Her style has evolved so effortlessly. As a teenager in the 60’s she and her boarding school mates would design and create their own clothes; a blend of traditional Ghanaian cloth intermixed with British and American trends.
There is a story behind every photo within her library of albums. I love the story behind the photo “She Wasn’t Tardy for the Party”. Her skirt was her own design (of course) but it was originally full length. She and my Dad were throwing a party and she wasn’t too fond the floor length look for that particular outfit. With guests arriving at the door ready to eat and have a good time, she altered the skirt and added a few accents just in time.
She attended to her guests like a gracious host, while making time to get down on the dance floor to do “the bump” and “the hustle” with her guests within minutes of performing alterations.
If that’s not an example of style and grace under pressure, I’m not sure what is.
Thank you Mom, for being an inspiration and a solid pillar of faith for my sisters and I to look up to.
This case is a pure and total waste of the tax payers time and money. The fact that the U.S government has taken the time to try, and will sentence Shepard Fairly is a gross misuse of the legal system.
According to the article in USA TODAY, the government asked for $100,000 in bail for Shepard. It was rejected, but the fact that they even dared to ask for that amount is ludicrous (and not in the hip-hop way).
There are numerous murderers, rapists, and corrupt CEO’s that have never (and will never) see the inside of a courtroom, but an artist who dares to use creativity is facing jail time?
Yes, he shouldn’t have falsified documents. That was a stupid move that also was “illegal”, but who hasn’t panicacked and done something foolish that they had no business doing? Please cast the first stone if you believe you have never been guilty of such a thing.
That’s right….. I didn’t think so.
