Ten Beloved hip-hop tracks from (1990-2001)
SWEETIES
I distinctly remember as if it were yesterday; coming home from school in sweet anticipation to watch Rap City on BET (back when BET wasn’t owned by Viacom……..sigh those were the days).
There is no way to rank these tracks . Each and everyone of them is a diamond in the rough.
The great thing about real hip-hop music is that it stands the test of time.

Ohhh, I don’t know any of these songs but one (Danger – Blahzay, Blahzay) and I do know some of the artist. Some of my favorites that you didn’t include is Chi Ali – Age Ain’t Nothing But a # and Black Sheep – Flavor of the month. Those are few I can think from the top of my head.

haha alright for sure. I just featured their song “The Truth” on my blog, but I heard the whole album with that track is a good one, so that’s probably what I should look for.

Awesome! I’m going to check out your blog. I’m intrigued already. If you like hip-hop, I often interview up and coming artist and some legends on my radio show, Nightly Candy Chat. You can listen on BlogTalkRadio or on iTunes. If you’re a music and pop-culture writer perhaps we could collaborate. Let’s stay connected.
