I haven’t checked out BET in a looooooong time! I boycotted the channel years ago, and haven’t watched it since… Okay I am lying. I did watch a couple episodes of that Keisha Cole Show, let me keep it real. I watched them on line though, so I have no idea what the channel has been serving up lately. Perhaps I should take a gander? MTV has totally lost my interest.

They need to start putting quality programs back on air like T.I’s new show. I have seen some of it and I like it. Also have you notice that BET have more qualty shows than MTV now? I can’t believe it, back in the early 2000s, people got on BET for putting crappy programs on the air. They received a LOT of criticism for the late night adult music videos. I know they still have some crappy shows but they also have programs like Straight Talk w/ Jeff Johnson that talks about issues in the black community.

I agree with you on MTV and VH1 going SOUTH of the BORDER!
The shows they are making now, totally suck!
I like The City, for two three reasons only
1) It’s filmed in NYC 2)The clothes are super cute 3) Whitney works in fashion I’m a sucker for any how with those elements.. But it’s no Sex and The City by any stretch of the imagination.
I remember when MTV and VH1 played videos and had cool shows back in the day. Now they just give air time to lameo rich kids.
Something’s got to give!

I will give them ONE PLUS though. Have you seen T.I’s Road to Redemption? Now that is a great show! They need more introspective shows like that one!

I have no idea why anyone wanna watch non-talented people pretending to be REAL. I would rather any day watch ABC or CBS for real drama like All My Children or Young and Restless. They are more of actors then these “actors” on MTV. Just to go off topic a bit, what happen to real programming that used to be on MTV and VH1. They don’t show video any more, all they show are really dumb and unintelligent shows like My Sweet Sixteen, I Love NY, Flavor of Love, and other countless shows that do nothing for the brain but to make these really dumb people even stupider.
